Pierre Gasly: Signs Extension with Alpine
Gasly has committed his long-term future to Alpine by signing a contract extension that will see him race for the French manufacturer until at least the end of the 2028 campaign, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
The veteran driver inked a new deal with his current team Alpine. Gasly's current deal wasn't set to expire until the end of 2026, but the team decided to extend the 29-year-old driver into 2028 and lock up his experience in their Formula 1 effort. Gasly helped Alpine to a sixth-place finish in the Constructors title last season and is considered the cornerstone of the team at this point.
