Pierre Gasly: P17 in Dutch Grand Prix
Gasly finished 17th in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Gasly made it out of Q1 on Saturday at the Dutch grand prix circuit. However, he would still start pretty deep in the field at P14. A one stop strategy (early pit) would end up being a flawed approach. Gasly would climb to P8 by late in the race, but his tyres were absolutely worn out over the final 10 laps. He would drop like a rock and Gasly would lose nine spots after the final caution period of the day to finish last on the lead lap in P17. He'll look to rebound next round out at Monza.
