Liam Lawson: Fade in Dutch Grand Prix

Lawson finished 12th in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Lawson would start eighth on the grid and look forward to a possible point drive Sunday on Circuit Zandvoort. He would pit under the safety car at lap 23 and that would allow him to climb to P6. However, from there things would change for the Racing Bulls youngster. Lawson would make contact with Carlos Sainz during a heated battle and both would drop back due to some damage to their cars. Lawson would drop to P18 and fall off the lead lap. However, he would get back on the lead lap later and make up some spots down the stretch to earn a reasonable but somewhat disappointing 12th-place finish.
