Oscar Piastri: Runner-up Finish in Budapest

Piastri finished second in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday.

Analysis:

The McLaren youngster started second on the grid and could not get past Charles Leclerc in the opening laps for the lead. Piastri would settle into P2 and elect for a two-stop pit strategy, in contrast to his teammate. Once he bolted on fresh tyres in the final third of the grand prix he would begin to track down the leaders. Piastri would get around Charles Leclerc and then set his sights on leader, Lando Norris. He would close hard on his teammate for the win but would come up just seven-tenths short at the checkered flag. It was PIastri's 12th podium of the season.
