Max Verstappen: Claims British GP Pole
Verstappen claimed an impressive pole position in Qualifying for the British Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver getting the better of the McLaren pair, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
The Ferraris and McLarens would battle it out all through this heated qualifying session. However, it would be Verstappen who would author the best lap of the weekend at Silverstone in the final seconds of Q3. His impressive lap of 1:24.892 would knock Oscar Piastri off the provisional pole by one-tenth in a thrilling finish to qualifying. It was Verstappen's fourth pole of the season and 44th-career pole position. He'll challenge for the win Sunday at Silverstone.
