Charles Leclerc: Leads Final Practice
Ferrari driver Leclerc topped the timesheets during Saturday's final practice session for the British Grand Prix, leading the way from McLaren rival Oscar Piastri and Red Bull's Max Verstappen - as rookies Gabriel Bortoleto and Ollie Bearman endured late crashes, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
Cooler more overcast conditions would greet drivers Saturday at Silverstone. The additional grip would help the already quick Ferraris as Lewis Hamilton would be one of the early leaders in lap time. Leclerc would bolt on soft tyres late in the session, which would be twice interrupted for crashes, and logged a lap of 1:25.498. That would be 0.068-seconds better than Piastri to lead the session. Leclerc has shown good speed so far this weekend and should challenge the podium Sunday in the British GP.
