Fernando Alonso: Impresses on one-stop strategy
Alonso finished seventh in the Austrian Grand Prix F1 race at Red Bull Ring on Sunday.
Analysis:
Alonso missed Q3 by just under one-tenth of a second, but a unique race strategy helped him tally points for the third consecutive grand prix. He was one of only two drivers to execute a one-stop strategy, and he even managed to hold off Gabriel Bortoleto on the final laps on tires 16 laps older. Aston Martin has given Alonso a more competitive car in recent grand prix, and he now has 14 points on the season.
