Gabriel Bortoleto: Doomed by poor qualifying
Bortoleto finished 14th in the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday.
Analysis:
Bortoleto has gotten some of the pace out of the improved Kick Sauber in recent race weekends, but his Canadian Grand Prix was doomed by his poor qualifying. He was knocked out of Q1 by seven-thousandths of a second but still started 15th on the grid after being promoted one spot due to Yuki Tsunoda getting a 10-spot penalty. Bortoleto couldn't make much of a move up the field and has yet to tally points, but there are hints of improvement.
