Isack Hadjar: 3-Place Grid Penalty
Racing Bulls driver Hadjar has been given a three-place grid penalty for the Canadian Grand Prix after the stewards found him guilty of impeding Williams rival Carlos Sainz during Qualifying, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
The incident occurred near the end of Q1. The Racing Bulls youngster was on a cool down lap and Sainz would encounter him during his final push lap. The two would meet in the turn 6-7 chicane and Hadjar's position would disrupt Sainz' line through the turns. The incident would cause the Williams veteran to fail to advance out of Q1 and Hadjar would be hit with the three-spot grid penalty after review.
