Esteban Ocon: Late Fade in Spanish GP

Ocon finished 16th in the Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Staring 16th on the grid, the veteran Haas F1 driver had some heavy lifting to do in Spain. Despite racing up to P12 he would get undercut by several drivers on the opening pit stop. Ocon would go a lap down to the leader before his second pit stop on lap 43. He would become mired in a lower third of the pack battle for the rest of the way and surrender one more spot to Franco Colapinto on the last lap to finish P16. He'll look to rebound next round out in Canada.
