Gabriel Bortoleto: Best career finish
Bortoleto finished 12th in the Spanish Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Analysis:
Kick Sauber teammate Nico Hulkenberg made arguably the biggest splash of any driver at the Spanish Grand Prix, but Bortoleto also enjoyed a strong weekend. He reached Q2 for the third time in the last four race weekends and lined up 12th on the grid -- the best start of his F1 career. The team intended to employ a unique one-stop strategy after Bortoleto pitted on Lap 13 for hard tires, but he ultimately switched to softs under a late safety car after failing to move up the grid as hoped.
