Oscar Piastri: Wins Spanish GP Pole

Piastri won the pole for the Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 1:11.546.

Analysis:

Piastri has been consistently fast all weekend in the various practice sessions and it translated well to pole qualifying. The McLaren youngster would easily advance to Q3 and post a session low of 1:11.546 to edge Lando Norris by two-tenths and Max Verstappen by three-tenths. Piastri will be the driver to beat on Sunday in Barcelona.
