Oscar Piastri: Fast Final Practice

Piastri set the pace during the final practice session ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, establishing a commanding gap back to his team mate Lando Norris and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, maintaing McLaren's status as the team to beat, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

It was a low key final practice for much of the session until the closing minutes. The pace would pick up in slightly cooler temperatures than Friday. Once again the McLarens would flex their muscles and Piastri would shoot to the top of the timing charts. His lap of 1:12.387 would be best of final practice and beat out Norris by a half-second. Piastri will be a top contender to win Sunday in Barcelona.
