Lando Norris: Grabs Monaco Pole

Norris charged to pole position during Saturday afternoon's Qualifying session for the Monaco Grand Prix, getting the better of home favourite Charles Leclerc and McLaren team mate Oscar Piastri in a dramatic conclusion to the action, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

The McLarens had a real battle on their hands in this pole qualifying session. However, Norris saved a fresh set of soft tyres and motored to an incredible lap of 1:09.954 to bump Leclerc from P1 in the final seconds of Q3. It was his second pole position of the season and 11th-career pole. Norris will be the driver to beat in Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix.
