Oscar Piastri: Tops FP1 in Miami
Piastri topped the timesheets during Friday's sole practice session for the Miami Grand Prix, leading the way from Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen after a late crash for Ollie Bearman brought out the red flags - scuppering some soft-tyre runs, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
This lone practice ahead of Sprint qualifying would be very active and busy collecting data to crunch. Once the runs got down to soft tyres the session would be cut short by the Bearman crash. Piastri would ultimately lead the way with his lap of 1:27.128 of the Miami circuit. He would beat out Leclerc by a healthy three-tenths. The McLaren youngster looks like a top contender to win Sunday's Miami Grand Prix.
