Liam Lawson: Replaced after two races at Red Bull
Lawson will be replaced at Red Bull Racing by Yuki Tsunoda at the Japanese Grand Prix, ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Lawson had an awful start to the season after being named as a Red Bull Racing driver last December. He was eliminated from Q1 in each of the first two Grand Prix qualifying sessions, as well as the sprint qualifying in China. Lawson just never really looked comfortable driving this car. Now he will return to the junior team in Racing Bulls where he will look to regain some confidence. Many people though Tsunoda should have been the driver in the second Red Bull seat next to Max Verstappen, but they decided to go the other route. Now after just two weekends they will swap drivers and hope Tsunoda is able to find some speed and score points for Red Bull.
