Valtteri Bottas: Suffers engine failure
Bottas was forced to retire after 19 laps due to an engine failure in the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Bottas showed great speed early in the weekend, as he began the sprint race in ninth place before slipping to 12th. He then reached Q3 in the traditional qualifying session for the first time this season, putting him in a solid position for points. His engine failure ultimately denied him that opportunity, but the Kick Sauber has shown improved pace in the last few grand prix.
