Oscar Piastri: Snares Points in Vegas

Piastri finished 10th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday.

Analysis:

After starting 18th on the grid and surviving the chaos of lap 1, Piastri strapped in and gave an excellent drive at the Las Vegas street course. The McLaren rookie narrowly missed being collected on lap 3 when his teammate, Lando Norris, crashed in turn 11. The near miss would be a major relief and Piastri would then again overcome contact with Lewis Hamilton later. A late overtake of Pierre Gasly would eventually give him a solid 10th-place finish and 1 point for his hard work.
