"It's been amazing teamwork this weekend," Hamilton said following the race. "It's definitely great having a lock-out for our team - first time in a long time."

Red Bull will comprise the second row, with championship leader Max Verstappen finishing third-fastest, ahead of teammate Sergio Perez.

"I think the whole weekend we've been a bit behind and it showed in qualifying," Verstappen added. "We're still there in P3 and we'll see what we can do."

This is the first race back since Hamilton and Verstappen collided during the British GP at Silverstone in a crash that hospitalized the championship leader and helped hand Hamilton the victory. Red Bull's appeal to the FIA to hand the seven-time champion a harsher penalty was dismissed. Eight points now separate Verstappen and Hamilton in the standings.

Carlos Sainz went into the wall during the second round of qualifying, causing a brief yellow flag. The Ferrari driver will start from 15th in Sunday's race.
