Hamilton captures 99th career pole ahead of Emilia Romagna GP

Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton will start from the top spot for Sunday's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix after posting the fastest time during qualifying Saturday at the course in Imola, Italy.
The performance was Hamilton's 99th career pole after beating out the Red Bull tandem of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen.

"I love it, I love the challenge. We've got the two Red Bulls there, I think it's definitely going to make strategy harder, and they've got great race pace," Hamilton said post-qualifying.
