Juan Carlos Osorio's rotations will be made by someone else at the Gold Cup.

On Friday, FIFA published a media release, announcing the FIFA Disciplinary Committee reached a decision in the case related to Osorio. The Colombian manager is suspended for six official matches and sanctioned with a warning and a fine of CHF 5,000 after using "insulting words toward the match officials while displaying an aggressive attitude toward them" in Mexico's third-place game against Portugal at the Confederations Cup.

Near the end of the second half of extra time, Hector Moreno appeared to be pushed by Pepe. El Tri appealed for the use of video assistant referees, and the incident was shown on the big screen at Spartak Stadium, at which point the national team's coaching staff and substitutes protested. Osorio was sent to the stands and the referee refused to review the incident.

The decision takes immediate effect, meaning Osorio will serve the first three games of the suspension during the Gold Cup. Mexico will play in Group C alongside El Salvador, Curacao, and Jamaica. If El Tri reach the final, the South American tactician will complete his suspension at the tournament. If not, he will serve the remaining games during the national team's subsequent official matches.

Mexico's Gold Cup adventure begins on Sunday, when El Tri and El Salvador take the pitch together at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, which is less than a one-hour drive from Mexico's border.
