Mexico's Hernandez trained separately 'because he was still a bit tired'

Mexico's coaches and footballers are helping ease the concerns of supporters.

Javier Hernandez trained separately from his teammates Monday, and one of Juan Carlos Osorio's assistants asked Chicharito about his condition, to which Mexico's all-time leading scorer said: "Fine, not a problem."

Jonathan dos Santos downplayed the solitary training session, declaring: "He said that he was leaving because he was still a bit tired after the match. He's played a lot of matches, a lot of minutes, a lot of practices. He just needs to rest a bit, nothing important."

As The Associated Press explained, Hernandez warmed up with the rest of the group but left the pitch after the players met with Osorio. The Mexican forward ran a few laps around the pitch while accompanied by El Tri's physical trainer and underwent some stretching exercises before watching the remainder of the training session from the bench.

Hernandez - who scored Mexico's first goal at the Confederations Cup - played the entirety of El Tri's 2-1 victory over Russia, the host, on Saturday, but didn't take the pitch for the Latin American national team's win against New Zealand.

Mexico will play Germany at Fisht Olympic Stadium in the semi-finals, looking to reach the Confederations Cup final for the first time since 1999, when El Tri defeated Brazil 4-3 in front of more than 110,000 supporters at Estadio Azteca.
