Barrett, Wiggins headline Canada's 21-man Olympic qualifier camp

Canada Basketball announced Thursday the participants for its senior men's national training camp ahead of the Olympic qualifying tournament.

A number of NBA players headline the camp, including New York Knicks guard RJ Barrett and Golden State Warriors wing Andrew Wiggins.

NBA stars Jamal Murray and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won't participate as both continue to nurse major injuries.

"There is no greater feeling in sports than the chance to represent your country on the highest international stage at the Olympic Games," general manager and executive vice president Rowan Barrett said. "Our players and staff fully recognize the unique opportunity that lies ahead of us, and I would like to commend them for their dedication to playing for Canada this summer."

Team Canada, led by Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse, is in Group A for the qualifying tournament. Canada will face off against Greece on June 29 and China on June 30 as part of the group phase.
