Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown is finalizing a deal to coach Australia at next year's Olympics, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brown coached the Boomers at the 2012 Summer Games, as well as at the 2010 FIBA World Championship. The Maine native coached professionally in Australia for parts of two decades before coming to the NBA.

With Brown aboard, it's believed 76ers point guard Ben Simmons will be even more likely to play for his country. Simmons skipped this summer's World Cup but said he'd be "honored and humbled" to play in Tokyo.
