Multiple players received a bump from the select team to the main roster, including the Sacramento Kings' budding stars Marvin Bagley III and De'Aaron Fox, as well as San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White and Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Joe Harris.

"We're bringing a couple of young players from the select team so we're going to be patient with the rest of the squad because we have plenty of time, we have two weeks to decide who will be the final 12," USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo said.

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo and Chicago Bulls forward Thaddeus Young were cut in favor of those promoted from the select team.

The Boston Celtics have four players - all favorites to make the final team - on the 17-man list, including All-Star point guard Kemba Walker.

Harrison Barnes and Kyle Lowry are the only remaining members of the gold-medal squad from the 2016 Olympics; several stars chose to withdraw from consideration to focus on the upcoming NBA season.

Team USA will continue its training camp in Los Angeles from August 13-15 before facing Spain in an exhibition contest in Anaheim, Calif., on August 16.
