Ruud van Nistelrooy agrees to join coaching staff at PSV Eindhoven next season
Ruud van Nistelrooy is making the switch from international management to club management.
PSV Eindhoven announced Wednesday that Van Nistelrooy will quit as an assistant coach for the Netherlands' national team and will join the coaching staff at PSV next season. Specifically, the Dutchman will be a trainer and a coach for the club's under-17 team, under-19 team, and Jong PSV, its reserve team.

"I have learned a lot in the past two years," Van Nistelrooy said, as translated by Goal. "Not only at the (UEFA) trainer course, but also on the pitch with PSV under-17s and reserves. And how beautiful it is as a coach starting out to be involved with the Dutch team.
"In my time as an international player I've worked with the technical staff and I never realised how much time and effort is required."
Van Nistelrooy's decorated career saw him tally 35 goals through 70 caps for the Netherlands. While he never won a Champions League title, he was the competition's top scorer in three separate editions and was named Dutch Footballer of the Year in 2008 and 2010.
