Details of Van Persie's training ground row with Memphis emerge

Memphis Depay's refusal to pass the ball to Robin van Persie ignited a feud between the two Dutch internationals that eventually saw them get dropped from the team.

Van Persie is said to have become irate with Memphis and eventually confronted the 21-year-old to deliver a snarky remark, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur, with translation from The Telegraph.

"Do you think you're a big boy?" Van Persie asked.

To which Memphis referenced Van Persie's move to Turkey: "Do big boys play for Fenerbahce?"

The altercation - which took place in October ahead of Holland's Euro 2016 qualifier against Kazakhstan - occurred just months after Van Persie left Manchester United for Fenerbahce when his role at Old Trafford diminished.

Memphis joined United shortly after Van Persie's departure.
