French MP wants Benzema off national team for spitting after anthem
Karim Benzema can't seem to catch a break these days.
Weeks after he was charged for his alleged involvement in the sex tape blackmail scandal involving French teammate Mathieu Valbuena, a French member of parliament has called for his permanent removal from the French national team.

MP Nadine Morano was disgusted by the Real Madrid forward's actions following the French national anthem ahead of El Clasico, when Benzema was seen spitting after the playing of La Marseillaise.
Morano demanded the 28-year-old be omitted from representing the country on the international level after perceiving his actions to be disrespectful.

While it's impossible to know Benzema's intention, it seems safe to assume he meant no disrespect considering the messages he posted in the days after the terrorist attacks in Paris:
Thanks to people throughout the world for supporting France in such a moment of tragedy and sadness #PrayForParis #ANGFRA #NousSommesUnis
