Spain will indeed be without Diego Costa during the upcoming international window.
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced Tuesday that the striker has withdrawn from the squad with a hamstring injury and will miss this week's matches against Ukraine and the Netherlands.
The Brazilian-born striker, who has an extensive history of hamstring issues, suffered his latest ailment in Chelsea's 3-2 victory over Hull City on Sunday, and has returned to London to undergo treatment.
Malaga striker Juanmi was added to the squad in Costa's stead.
