Giorgio Chiellini has never impacted a game at both ends of the pitch quite like he did in Italy's Euro 2016 qualifier versus Azerbaijan on Friday.

The world-class defender, who entered the match having scored only four international goals in his career, put Italy ahead just before the interval with a header and evened the match with an own goal in the 76th minute.

Keen to make up for the mistake, Chiellini completed his hat-trick of sorts by scoring his second goal of the match in the 82nd minute, another header, ensuring that Italy exited the Stadio Renzo Barbera with three points.
