Gundogan ruled out of Euro 2016 with dislocated kneecap
Ilkay Gundogan's season is over after Borussia Dortmund confirmed the midfielder suffered a dislocated kneecap during training. The injury will also see the German international miss this summer's European Championship.
The Bundesliga side added that a more accurate diagnosis of Gundogan's injury will be revealed Friday.

It's a massive blow to both club and country as Dortmund hoped the 25-year-old could return from a previous injury in time to help the club finish the season strong and compete in the DFB-Pokal final against Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Germany looks set to be without Gundogan for a second consecutive major competition after he was ruled out of the 2014 World Cup with a back injury that forced him to miss over a year of action.
The injury will also have an impact on this summer's transfer market as Gundogan was regularly linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion, with Manchester City appearing to be the most likely destination following weeks of rumours suggesting he was set for a move to England.
