Barcelona's Dembele cleared to play vs. Manchester United

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde will have the luxury of selecting Ousmane Dembele on Wednesday with news that the French international has been medically cleared to play against Manchester United.

Dembele was included in Barcelona's squad list Tuesday but had yet to be cleared due to a thigh injury, which has sidelined him since March 13.

However, the 21-year-old is available to play in the first leg of Barcelona's Champions League quarterfinal encounter at Old Trafford after getting the green light from the team's medical staff.

A statement on Barcelona's website said Dembele has "overcome the muscle problem in the femoral biceps of his left thigh which occurred against Lyon."

Dembele has scored eight league goals in 33 appearances, including three goals in the Champions League.
