We're running out of words to describe Cristiano Ronaldo's greatness, so it's a good thing we have the numbers to highlight his dominance.

His epic display in Friday's wild 3-3 draw with Spain, in which he scored three times - including a dramatic 88th-minute free-kick - earned Portugal a vital point, and also saw the bronzed megastar set a number of personal records.

3: Ronaldo is now the third Portuguese star to score a World Cup hat-trick, after Eusebio and Pauleta.

4: Real Madrid's marquee man is just the fourth player to score in four consecutive World Cups, following in the footsteps of Brazilian icon Pele, and German marksmen Miroslav Klose and Uwe Seeler.

33: At 33 years and 130 days old, the scoring machine became the oldest player to ever score a hat-trick at the World Cup.

45: His stunning 88th-minute equaliser was the first time in 45 attempts that he's found the net from a direct free-kick with the national team.

84: He now sits on 84 international goals, tied for the most by a European player with Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas. Ali Daei holds the overall record, having scored 109 goals for Iran during his prolific career.

88: Ronaldo came into the tournament with three World Cup goals to his name, and needed just 88 minutes to equal that mark today.
