Fulham's miserable start to the season in the Championship has cost manager Felix Magath his job at Craven Cottage.
The club announced Thursday that Magath has been relieved of his duties and named Kit Symons as the team's caretaker manager

Magath, a former manager with several German clubs such as Bayern Munich and Schalke, was named manager of the London club in February 2014 while the club faced the prospect of relegation.
His influence on the club, however, was not enough to save the team from their dreadful campaign as Fulham finished 19th and was relegated to the Football League Championship, England's second tier league.
The start to their season in the Championship has been dreadful as the team sits in last place through seven games after losing six matches and registering one point during a draw with Cardiff City.
Symons, a former Fulham and Welsh international defender, was Fulham's academy coach before Thursday's announcement.
