Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson were included in Brazil's squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers even though the pair is injured.

Jesus has been out with a thigh injury that he suffered with the national team during the international break in September, while Liverpool have been without Alisson this month due to a shoulder issue.

Neither player has been cleared to play by their respective clubs and it's unclear if they will be available for Brazil's games against Venezuela on Nov. 13 and Uruguay four days later.

Liverpool said Alisson will be reassessed ahead of their Premier League match against Sheffield United on Saturday.

Brazil sits atop the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying table after winning its opening two matches.
