Report: Gabriel Jesus set for considerable raise at Manchester City

Manchester City is set to offer Gabriel Jesus a hefty pay increase pending the completion of new deals with David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, reports James Ducker of the Telegraph.

City could potentially double his current earnings, according to Ducker, and the already generous bonuses in line with City's pay structure would also increase.

Jesus, 20, has quickly emerged as an integral part of Pep Guardiola's outfit, scoring 12 goals in 15 starts since joining out of Palmeiras in January. Ducker reports that City will acknowledge Jesus' "outstanding first nine months at the club" in order to "ward off any potential suitors," as the club knows the Brazilian striker's standing has grown dramatically.

Guardiola's side paid £27 million for Jesus last summer, which looks like a steal in the current market but was considered somewhat high at the time since he had yet to play in Europe.

His current deal runs until 2021, and Ducker reports that Jesus is "very happy, settled in, and excited" by Guardiola's project at the club.
