Chelsea intends to satisfy manager Antonio Conte's lofty demands with a quartet of signings for a potential £250 million, according to The Telegraph's John Percy.

The Blues have already spent well over £100 million to secure the signatures of Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Alvaro Morata, rivalling Manchester City and Everton as the Premier League's biggest spenders.

However, Conte waited until last week to put pen to paper on an improved two-year contract - seemingly with the promise of more signings to come.

Percy believes Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, Inter winger Antonio Candreva, and Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente are high on the Italian's wish list.

Chelsea's interest in ostracised Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk is apparently not as intense. The Dutchman was asked to train on his own after informing the Saints he wanted to leave.

Of all Chelsea's targets, Sandro would command the most money. Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta said in June that Chelsea submitted a "substantial offer" for the Brazilian full-back, although the actual amount was not disclosed.

Chelsea is reportedly optimistic it can land Sandro for £60 million, which would make the 26-year-old the most expensive defender in football history.

Selling Nemanja Matic and Diego Costa could also raise the funds for the robust transfer campaign. Chelsea excused both players from its pre-season tour of Asia, with Matic requesting a switch and Costa likely to return to Atletico Madrid.
