The idea of a reunion with Pep Guardiola is music to Alexis Sanchez's ears, so much so that Arsenal's wantaway star is willing to lower his wage demands to force a move to Manchester City, Miguel Delaney of the Independent reports.

Sanchez, 28, has just one year left on his current deal with the Gunners and is reportedly looking for Champions League football at a number of clubs, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain also linked with his signature. But Delaney reports that Bayern is not happy with Sanchez's high wage demands, and feel he has his heart set on working with Guardiola again as the two shared success at Barcelona.

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said, of Sanchez: "We are no longer involved. We have agreed with our coach that we won't add (new players) in attack. It wouldn't make any sense."

While Arsene Wenger stands firm on his refusal to sell the player, Sanchez is reportedly dreaming of more silverware than the one La Liga title he won in 2012-13 - the year after Guardiola left Barcelona - and is unwilling to sign Arsenal's offer of £300,000 a week with that in mind.

Delaney adds that Sanchez is willing to take less than that figure to join City.
