Report: West Ham rejects bid from Mexican side Tigres for Valencia
Club Tigres UANL failed in its initial attempt to sign West Ham forward Enner Valencia.
The Premier League side is said to be eager to offload the Ecuadorian striker, but appears to have concluded that Tigres' first offer was insufficient, according to Sky Sports.
Earlier this month, it was suggested that West Ham manager Slaven Bilic was eager to sell Valencia in an attempt to raise funds to pursue transfer targets this summer.
Valencia spent last season on loan at Everton, who turned down an opportunity to sign the 27-year-old forward to a permanent deal.
Although specifics of the offer were not revealed, it's unlikely that West Ham will be able to recoup a majority of the £12.75-million fee paid in 2014 to Mexican side CF Pachuca - where Valencia briefly played before attracting interest from European clubs following his impressive display at the 2014 World Cup.
