The Serie A champion will pay Chelsea €20 million over three annual instalments.

A statement on Juve's website read: "Juventus announces that, following the meeting of the conditions provided by the contract, its obligation to definitively acquire the registration rights of Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea became due."

The Colombian international joined the Bianconeri last August on a three-year loan agreement, which included a clause that would make the deal permanent if "certain sporting results" were achieved.

Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, it's believed that the clause was triggered after Juve secured the Serie A title Sunday.

It was the second time Cuadrado, 28, has celebrated Italy's top flight title, after contributing to Juve's triumph last season during his initial one-year loan move from Chelsea.

Cuadrado has been an important contributor - scoring five goals in 40 appearances in all competitions - for Juventus during a season that saw the club win the Coppa Italia before securing the Scudetto. Juve will look to complete the treble with a win in the Champions League final against Real Madrid on June 3.

Cuadrado signed with Chelsea from Fiorentina for a reported transfer fee of £26 million but his future at the club, despite claiming a winners medal after the Blues won the Premier League in 2015, seemed bleak as former manager Jose Mourinho used him sparingly.
