Rafa Benitez remained noncommittal over his future at Newcastle United after Sunday's decisive victory over Tottenham.

The Spanish gaffer admitted that he's yet to decide whether to help guide the Magpies back to the Premier League after failing to stave off relegation or seek a job elsewhere during the summer.

Unwilling to let the emotions of a 5-1 victory, along with pleas from a fan base desperate for him to return, influence his decision, Benitez revealed that the debate will continue for the foreseeable future.

"My heart is saying yes," Benitez told reporters. "It's a fantastic opportunity and atmosphere but you have to use your brain, too"

Benitez will meet with the Newcastle managing director Lee Charnley over the coming days to discuss his future, with the decision expected to come within the next two weeks, according to Lee Ryder of Chronicle Live.

Despite Newcastle's relegation to the Championship, the decision appears to be Benitez's after the gaffer took over for Steve McClaren under difficult circumstances and still managed to finish the season in a respectable manner without a defeat in the last six league matches.
