Tiger sits 4 back after 1-under 71 in Round 2

Tiger Woods heads to Round 3 on Saturday afternoon in good shape to defend his green jacket at the Masters.

The five-time winner returned to Augusta National early Saturday morning to finish his second round. Woods parred his first four holes before pouring in a birdie on the par-5 15th. He followed that up with three pars to get to the house at 5-under for the championship, four shots back of the five-way tie atop the leaderboard.

However, Woods missed a number of opportunities Saturday morning that would have allowed him to match his opening-round 68.

He battled distance control with his short irons and wedges over the final stretch but was able to avoid dropping any shots with a bogey.

Woods sat at 5-under and four shots off the pace after two rounds in 2002, too. Obviously, he made a charge that weekend to claim his third green jacket by three shots over Retief Goosen.
