Garcia won't be disciplined for damaging greens in Saudi Arabia

An apologetic Sergio Garcia will not face discipline after being disqualified from the Saudi International for deliberately damaging multiple greens, according to Martin Dempster of The Scotsman.

"The incident is over," European Tour CEO Keith Pelley said after the tournament's conclusion. "We have dealt with it. Sergio has apologized to the players and we move on."

Garcia's frustrations boiled over in Friday's second round, as he began dragging his golf shoes on the putting surfaces and left a divot mark on the sixth green that was still visible during Sunday's final round, according to Dempster.

The 39-year-old apologized for his actions, accepted the disqualification, and assured players that such an outburst would not happen again.
