West Bromwich Albion beat Coventry City to climb into playoff places

London, Feb 3, 2023 (AFP) - Grady Diangana's early goal lifted West Brom into the Championship playoff places with a 1-0 win over Coventry on Friday.

The Baggies have won now seven home games in a row without conceding to charge into promotion contention.

Carlos Corberan's men came flying out the blocks as Jed Wallace hit the post and Daryl Dike spurned two glorious opportunities.

But they got the only goal on 15 minutes when Wallace headed down for Diangana to finish.

Defeat for Coventry leaves the Sky Blues in 13th, still six points off the playoff places.
