It's safe to say Chelsea are the joke of the Premier League.

Although Tottenham Hotspur are giving the Blues a run for their money, Chelsea's continued downfall under Frank Lampard is unmatched given that the club's new ownership group invested over £600 million in players.

Laughter at Chelsea's expense continued Tuesday after Arsenal got off to a rampant start. The uninspired performance from the visitors opened the floodgates to a tidal wave of criticism once Lampard's men fell behind 3-0 in the first half.

Chelsea avoided a complete embarrassment in the second half after Noni Madueke's goal cut into Arsenal's advantage. But that was the only bright spot for the Blues, as Arsenal won the match handily to move back on top of the Premier League table.
