Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn't expecting Sergio Aguero to swap blue for red this summer.

The Manchester United manager all but ruled out a move for the Argentine striker, citing the soon-to-be free agent's loyalty to Manchester City as a stumbling block for the Red Devils.

City announced this week that Aguero, 32, will leave the club after 10 years when his contract expires at season's end. A host of teams have already been linked with his signature, but Solskjaer doesn't think United can enter the fray.

"I wouldn't expect any player who has played for a club for 10 years to want to go to their local rivals," Solskjaer told reporters, according to Reuters.

"I know we're professionals, but when you play for Man United, you don't go to Man City. We've had examples of that and I didn't really agree with it."

Solskjaer added: "When I played for Man United, if a rival club tried to sign me and I had gone - well, where's the loyalty? Loyalty is one of the values I really, really put highly."

A number of players have crossed the Manchester divide over the years, with Carlos Tevez's move in 2009 the most recent high-profile example.
