Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne revealed he's in talks with the club over extending his contract.

The midfielder, who started in Belgium's 2-0 Nations League win over England on Sunday, said he's currently representing himself in the negotiations.

"I am happy in Manchester," De Bruyne told Belgian outlet VTM Nieuws, according to Ed Aarons of The Guardian. "I am at a good club. Good owners. Good club. We are a bit in talks - not advanced. At the moment I am doing the talks myself. I would like to stay with the club, so it's easy."

The 29-year-old continued: "If I didn't want to stay, it would take someone to mediate. But when you want to stay, it's not so difficult."

The reigning PFA Player of the Year, who joined Manchester City from Wolfsburg in 2015, is under contract at the Etihad until 2023. He hinted earlier this year he could leave the club after they were hit with a two-year Champions League ban, but that ruling was ultimately overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and talk of a departure promptly disappeared.

Reports last month suggested City were looking to ink their dynamic playmaker to a two-year extension worth £300,000 per week.
