Haaland, Sancho, Davies headline 2020 Golden Boy award nominees
A collection of the brightest young stars in the world were unveiled as nominees for the 2020 Golden Boy award.
The list was trimmed to 40 on Wednesday and includes Borussia Dortmund phenoms Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho as well as Bayern Munich's teen sensation, Alphonso Davies.
Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood was also nominated for the award, given out by Italian outlet Tuttosport, that recognizes the best performers in Europe under 21 years old.
Other Premier League representatives include Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi, Wolverhampton's Fabio Silva, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, Liverpool's Neco Williams, and Manchester City duo Phil Foden and Ferran Torres.
La Liga is represented by Barcelona's Ansu Fati and Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.
The award was created in 2003, and some past winners include Wayne Rooney (2004), Lionel Messi (2005), Paul Pogba (2013), and Kylian Mbappe (2017).
Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix won last year.
