Liverpool ended their 30-year wait for top-flight honors Thursday. Naturally, social media users responded with hot takes, well wishes, and other contributions.

Current players rejoice

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson did what any recently crowned Premier League winner would do, immediately taking to Twitter to post a GIF.

Robertson's full-back companion Trent Alexander-Arnold was succinct in his assessment. Here's hoping he doesn't get paid by the word.

Reds players Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alisson, and others celebrated Willian's goal for Chelsea at a posh locale. You can spot Firmino's teeth from the Hubble telescope.

Celebrations turned up a notch following the final whistle, and Van Dijk's television interview was preempted by some scarf swinging. If I'm not mistaken, my Aunt Helen was married at that banquet hall.

Former luminaries share their thoughts

Beloved ex-Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez shared some kind words. If the owner of Twitter account @RafaBenitez (zero tweets) sees this, please consider gifting your handle to the Spanish tactician. Cheers.

Ex-Liverpool center-back Jamie Carragher asked Reds captain Jordan Henderson - who for some reason is wearing his kit - if he's "going to get absolutely rotten tonight like me?" We all are, Jamie.

Carragher also took a jab at friend, fellow pundit, and Manchester United legend Gary Neville. Graphic design is my passion.

Neville's former Red Devils mate Rio Ferdinand wisely promised a Twitter hiatus. Truly a blessing.

Ex-Arsenal striker and current television analyst Ian Wright opted for the generic GIF. R2spect to L19erpool.

Jam-packed Anfield celebrations

Pandemic or not, Liverpool fans congregated outside Anfield to celebrate a long-awaited title.

Several journos hypothesized why supporters might have forsaken social distancing guidelines to party. Also worth considering: alcohol.

Miscellaneous offerings

The James Milner parody account was on brand. Wow, that really is boring. Good stuff.

Los Angeles Lakers star and minority Liverpool owner Lebron James went ALL CAPS with some emojis, one of which looks like Pep Guardiola cosplaying a member of the Blue Man Group.

Borussia Dortmund tipped their caps to former manager Jurgen Klopp and current Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic, who scored Thursday against Manchester City. It was years in the making, apparently.

The Boston Red Sox congratulated their fellow Fenway Sports Group commodities. A real rags to riches story.

Manchester City veteran Fernandinho's handball and sending off and Willian's subsequent penalty drew rave reviews from Liverpool supporters.

Football journo Richard Jolly was true to his name with this delightful shot at former Reds gaffer Brendan Rodgers.
