A West Yorkshire man admitted he attempted to rob Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac.

Ashley Smith, 30, pleaded guilty to the attempted robbery of the players' watches in Hampstead, London, on July 25, according to BBC Sport. Smith now faces sentencing at the Snaresbrook Crown Court on Nov. 1.

Smith and Jordan Northover, 26, were seen on video sporting masks and brandishing what appears to be knives during the confrontation. Kolasinac responded by trying to fend off the thieves.

Smith was charged with attempted robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place, and possession of class B drugs (cannabis). Northover was charged with attempted robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Northover is set to appear before magistrates on Friday.
